CHI E' ALBERTO PONNO

E' nato a Roseto degli Abruzzi nel 1945.
Si stabilisce a Milano nel 1967 dove dà sfogo alla sua passione motoristica come pilota  
di auto e tecnico presso il reparto esperienze motori dell'Alfa Romeo. Negli anni ottanta si specializza nella sua attività artistica attuale: fotorealismo ad aerografo. Specializzato in scene di gare automobilistiche anni 50-60.
I suoi dettagliatissimi disegni che richiedono un enorme quantità di tempo, da 1 a oltre tre mesi, vengono eseguti esclusivamente ad aerografo e a mano libera. Non viene mai utilizzato nessun tipo di mascherature.
Tra i suoi clienti: Alfa Romeo, Ferrari e Maserati. Nel 2004 gli è stato conferito, negli Stati Uniti, il prestigioso
"Vargas Haward". Tra i cinque destinatari di tale riconoscimento nel 2004, c'era anche il grande Frank Frazetta.
Attualmente vive e lavora
a Trezzo sull'Adda (MI).

WHO IS ALBERTO PONNO

He was born in Roseto degli Abruzzi in 1945. He moves and settles in Milan in 1967, place where he can express his mechanical engineering passion working as a pilot and a technician for Alfa Romeo engineering department. During the 80’s he starts and gets skilled in his present activity: photorealism and airbrush. Specialized in 50’s and 60’s racing car scenes , his very detailed works, requiring a very long amount of time to be finished – from one until more than three months – are exclusively made only by hand and airbrush. Any kinds of masking are never used. Among his clients: Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and Maserati. In 2004 he is awarded the prestigious “Vargas Haward” in the USA. Among the five receivers of this prize in 2004 there was the great Frank Frazetta too.
At the present Alberto is living and working in Trezzo sull’Adda (MI).
